Dementia Café - Hartley Wintney
About
The Forget-Me-Not Café offers a weekly opportunity for those with dementia and their carers to get together for social activities and to exchange experiences and news with refreshments provided by the volunteer organisers. A wide range of memory books are available and craft activities, table-top games, snooker and table tennis are also on offer. There is no need for let anyone know in advance that you plan to attend, but cafe volunteers do ask that, on your first visit, you arrive at around 14.30, so that they have time to give newcomers, having settled regulars down with a cup of tea and cake
The Forget-Me-Not Café meets on Tuesdays 14.00-16.00 at St John's Church Centre in Hartley Wintney. All are welcome; guests and volunteers come from far and wide.
About Hartley Wintney Voluntary Care Group
Founded in 1977, we are a group of friendly volunteers, who assist people in Hartley Wintney, Heckfield, Mattingley and Winchfield needing a helping hand.
Those of our volunteers who visit people in their own homes, transport people to their essential medical appointments or run our weekly dementia activities are DBS checked and the Group has Public Liability Insurance with a limit of £5,000,000.
We are one of more than 110 similar groups in Hampshire, with over 4,000 volunteers, who are supported by the Good Neighbours Network, which is funded by the Diocese of Portsmouth, Winchester and Guildford; Hampshire County Council; and Hampshire’s NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups.
