About Log Cabin Quilters Group
Log Cabin Quilters is a friendly group of ladies who get together to make quilts, to natter and to enjoy tea and cake. They meet twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month between 14.00 and 16.00 in the Edward Hall at the Victoria Halls in Hartley Wintney. They always welcome newcomers with some experience or advanced quilters. They are not a teaching group but if you are a sewer who is relatively new to quilting there is usually somebody to ask for help or ideas for a project to get you started. The programme is fairly unstructured. From time to time they have workshops on a particular aspect of patchwork or quilting, for example they recently had a workshop on machine applique and one on crazy patchwork. These are run by members of the group but there is no pressure for anyone to run a workshop or even to take part if you have a project that needs completing.
