About

Parkside runs a variety of services from its dedicated premises in Aldershot and at Farnborough Library.

Adult Wellbeing Services: Personal Improvement Programme (PIP) runs Monday to Friday 9.30-15.30 in Aldershot. Activities include Gardening, Baking, Drama and Singing, Creative Arts, Health and Well-being sessions, Walking sessions, Zumba and Fitness sessions, Karaoke, Team Games, Music, Outdoor and indoor games use of their Sensory Suite. Gateway Evening Group: a popular very well established social club that runs every Wednesday 19.00-21.00. Garden Group: meets Thursdays 10.00-14.00 - works on various projects in the larger part of the garden and in the polytunnel that enables the groups to grow a variety of fruit and vegetables. Work experience group: the Tuesday group meets 10.00-13.00 in Farnborough and are mostly out in the community with a variety of gardening projects (adult employment and life skills projects). Occasionally time is spent at the Aldershot garden. NEW Friendship Group - starting in July 2022 - which will run alternate Saturdays 10.00-12.00, offering an opportunity to meet up with friends enjoy some activities on-site or in the Park or Astro ground at Aldershot Leisure (weather permitting).

One-to-one support in the community - Parkside provides a service offering individual support for adults with a learning disabilities and autism the service enables them to access a wide range of social, educational and recreational activities in their community. All sessions are a minimum of 2 hours and prior to agreeing this type of support a comprehensive care plan will be agreed to make sure we can meet your needs.

Young Adults Services: Personal Improvement Plan (PIP) Youth Groups - a day service designed for young adults to focus on maintaining and developing essential life skills. The service is based in their Activity Room at Farnborough Library. This space provides a fantastic opportunity for service users to access the local community. PIP Youth runs Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.30-15.30. JET - created to give young people aged 18+ the opportunity to socialise in a safe environment. They can meet new friends and the club helps them gain confidence and independence. Every Thursday 19.00-21.00.

Children's Activities: Saturday Zone - this club is for young people aged 8 –18 who want to have fun, socialise and make friends! The club currently runs alternate Saturdays 10.00-15.00. This group is supported by Hampshire County Councils Shortbreaks grant so Hampshire parents are subsidised and are required to pay a parental contribution of £20 per session (invoiced in advance). Parkside provide support to all children and adults with learning disabilities and any associated special needs by actively involving them, their families, and circles of support in creating and developing services. They organise and host a variety of programmed activities aimed at improving wellbeing and life skills.
