Stalking Advocacy & Support Service (Hampshire)

About

Stalking is a pattern of repeated, unwanted behaviour that causes you to feel distressed or scared. It is important that you trust yourself and your instincts. Stalking can consist of any type of behaviour, such as regularly sending gifts, constant, unwanted or malicious communication, damaging property and physical or sexual assault. Stalkers can use a combination of online and offline behaviours to try and gain contact with the victim such as calls, texts, contacting family, friends and work, researching you online and using fake profiles to try to remain anonymous.

Stop Domestic Abuse Stalking Advocates offer a full range of support to victims of stalking. The service includes risk and safety planning, advocacy support (liaison with the Police, and support through the Court process), emotional and practical support, specialist advice and support in relation to cyberstalking and support to access any other services the victim may need. Stop Domestic Abuse will ensure that a victim receives the offer of support they need, in the way in which they want to receive their support.
