About The Gordon Brown Centre

The Gordon Brown Centre in Rotherwick is operated by Brent Council, providing opportunities for residential and day activities (mainly outdoors) for children and young people. These activities are open to children and young people living locally as well. Originally part of a family estate dating from 1774 the grounds which cover 25 acres are set in a conservation area and benefit from a wealth of natural charms and designed facilities that provide children with a lifelong experience. The grounds were named the “Gordon Brown Centre” in the 1980’s after a well-known scientist from Brent, who was a lifelong advocate of the centre and a strong believer in the benefits that it provides to a child’s development.
