Village Mapgies have organised purple wheelie bins at a number of locations where the following items can be dropped off once cleaned and packed according to their requirements: cheese packaging; toiletry/cosmetics containers; plastic phone cases; foil crisp packets; certain brands of coffee product packaging; Marigold rubber gloves; dental care packaging; bread bags; baby food pouches; sweets and chocolate wrappers. Income raised from reycycling via Terracycle is donated back to local charitable/good causes.

About Village Mapgies

Village Magpies are based in Rotherwick and was set up with the aim of increasing recycling in the local area: Hook, Hartley Wintney, Odiham, Sherfield on Loddon and surrounding villages. By collecting and sending waste to TerraCycle it avoids waste ending up as litter or in a landfill or incineration facility. Instead, new materials and products will be made with the collected waste, reducing the need to extract new materials from the planet.
