To enquire about support with transport to medical appointments or for befriending and companionship, please call the Duty Officer on 0845 5190855 preferably between 09.00 and 17.00 Mondays to Fridays.
Trips for medical appointments - transport can only be offered to people who are able to get in and out of a car unaided. If not able to do this, then your GP surgery will organise transport to get people to and from their hospital appointments.
This service is only available to the residents of Hartley Wintney, Heckfield, Mattingley & Winchfield.
About Hartley Wintney Voluntary Care Group
Founded in 1977, we are a group of friendly volunteers, who assist people in Hartley Wintney, Heckfield, Mattingley and Winchfield needing a helping hand.
Those of our volunteers who visit people in their own homes, transport people to their essential medical appointments or run our weekly dementia activities are DBS checked and the Group has Public Liability Insurance with a limit of £5,000,000.
We are one of more than 110 similar groups in Hampshire, with over 4,000 volunteers, who are supported by the Good Neighbours Network, which is funded by the Diocese of Portsmouth, Winchester and Guildford; Hampshire County Council; and Hampshire’s NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups.
