Hook Runners
About
If you are thinking of joining, the best thing to do is attend one of the Hook Runners sessions and decide whether the club is right for you. Please let the session leader know that you are new! You are welcome to attend up to three training or group run sessions before joining. Training sessions start from the Hook Community Centre.
Every Saturday Hook Runners take part in the Parkrun, which is a free weekly 5km timed run - usually the Basingstoke parkrun (normally in the War Memorial Park), by the childrens’ play area. Come and say hello! All you have to do is register in advance on the parkrun website and print out and bring along your barcode so you can get your time. Email races@hookrunners.com for further details.
On Sunday there are various group runs at different paces and distances, usually discussed in advance in via their Facebook group. Depending on weather and training plans these can be on or off road. All groups meet at 8.00 outside Hartletts Café, which (depending on finish times) may be open after your run.
