About

The Yateley Society is a is a well-recognised and respected community group, comprising enthusiastic locals – amateurs and professionals / novices and experts – whose joint wishes and aims are to maintain and improve the quality of life in Yateley. Members and non-members are welcomed to talks, events and coffee mornings. Meetings & Events:
Meetings are held at 7.30pm on the first Thursday of each month at Monteagle Hall. Admission to meetings is free and everyone is welcome.
They also organise walks, talks and social events. Forthcoming events are listed on their website and newsletters.

Membership:
Open to all residents and to anyone with an interest in the well-being of Yateley. Benefits of membership include: local interest notifications, monthly talks, social events, guided walks and visits to local places of interest, formal links to Civic Voice, Campaign for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE), Hampshire Wildlife Trust, Hampshire Field Club and Archaeology Association and The Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust.

Volunteering:
A variety of volunteer roles are available and help is needed to produce a newsletter; join in with history and genealogy research; coordinate town planning responses; help the Conservation group on the last Sunday of each month with a bit of physical activity; join the Executive Committee that oversees the activities of the Society; join the PR Committee to help promote the Society in the local area; man local exhibition stands.

The Yateley Society is an active group of enthusiasts with a good and growing reputation in planning, conservation, biodiversity and local history. They are always seeking new members who want to join in these groups actively. However, they do also welcome membership to all those who cannot participate actively but share the Yateley Society's aims.
