The Jubilee Choir rehearses each Wednesday evening in term-time 19.30-21.30 at Mayhill Junior School. All adults are welcome, but the choir would particularly like to see some more 18 to 40 year old singers. They do not yet have a formal audition, so come along and join in a rehearsal or just watch – no pressure!

About North Hampshire Jubilee Choir

The Jubilee Choir was founded in 2002 to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Golden Jubilee. It was intended as a one-off but the choir members enjoyed singing together so much that they are still singing today! The Jubilee Choir performs a wide variety of choral music, from classical masses to more modern pieces, sometimes accompanied by professional soloists and an orchestra or individual musicians.

The Jubilee Choir has two aims – to entertain people and to have in the choir singers from each decade. They warmly welcome singers of all ages but are particularly keen to encourage singers in the 18 to 40 age group. The Jubilee Choir is now very fortunate to be directed by Oliver Tarney, a gifted leader and talented composer, who is an inspiration and coaches the choir to a high standard.
