The IAM Basingstoke Advanced Driving Group offer the following:
- Advanced Driver - the Advanced Driver course will give you additional on-road knowledge and skills, above and beyond what is taught when you learn to drive.
- Driver Assessment - Whatever your experience; from new drive driver to the experienced driver, our assessments help improve skills and keep you safe on the road.
- Mature Driver Review - the Mature Driver Review is a relaxed, 1 hour session with an IAM RoadSmart expert. At the end of the session will receive guidance on how to continue driving safely for years to come.
The Group offer regular monthly talks on Wednesday evenings at the Newnham Club Room near Hook, and Sunday drives with their trained volunteer observers, also starting from the Newnham Club Room.

About IAM Basingstoke Advanced Motorists Group

The IAM Basingstoke Advanced Motorists Group is a registered charity, aiming to make our roads safer by improving driver skills through coaching and education. They offer courses to suit everyone with all skill levels, from new licence holders to professional road users. Their accredited Observers will coach you to achieve the Advanced Driver Qualification by taking a test with an IAM RoadSmart Examiner. Their Advanced Driver course will give you additional on-road knowledge and skills, above and beyond what is taught when you learn to drive. Advanced drivers have fewer accidents, consume significantly less fuel and can even save money on their car insurance.

User Cost/Charge Information
On joining the IAM RoadSmart nationally, you automatically become an Associate Member of a Local Group, like the . You must remain a National IAM RoadSmart member after achieving your Advanced Driving Test pass to qualify for continuing local membership, for which a small annual fee in the second and subsequent years is charged: currently £17.50.
